About Us
Batten Court Design is a high-touch, low-volume interior design studio based in Pinehurst, North Carolina, creating wellness-driven interiors for residential and hospitality clients across the Carolinas and beyond. We listen deeply, then we lead, building each project around a single governing idea rather than a signature look.
Led by Founding Principal Elizabeth Valkovics, our team brings over 20 years of hospitality and residential design experience across five continents to every project. Trained in fine art and qualified at the Interior Design School of London, Elizabeth has led award-winning hospitality and residential projects from London to Cape Town, Bangkok to Dubai and channels that global range into work that's built entirely around the people and place in front of her.
She now channels that expertise into creating artistic, wellness-centered spaces for high-end homes and hospitality spaces across the Carolinas and beyond.
Her work has been featured in Architectural Digest, Elle Decor, HGTV, Veranda, Southern Living, Martha Stewart, and USA Today Home.
