Elizabeth Valkovics

Founding principal

Elizabeth Valkovics is the creative force behind Batten Court Design. A graduate of the Interior Design School of London with a background in fine art, she brings over 20 years of hospitality and residential design experience across Europe, Africa, the Middle East, and Asia. Her work has been featured in Architectural Digest, Elle Decor, HGTV, Veranda, Southern Living, and Martha Stewart, among others.

She listens deeply, establishes a clear point of view, and leads every project from that first idea through to the final install, an approach shaped as much by her curatorial eye as by two decades leading design at an international level.

Paul Valkovics

Director of Operations

With over 20 years of experience in global project management and operations, Paul Valkovics brings invaluable structure and strategy to Batten Court Design. His career includes senior leadership roles with world-class organizations such as FIFA World Cup, the London 2012 Olympics, European Tour Golf, and Formula 1.

Paul oversees all operational aspects of the studio, including contracting, accounting, interior design procurement, and project management. His background in high-level event logistics brings precision and efficiency to every design engagement, supporting the seamless delivery of our residential, commercial, and hospitality projects.

    INTERIOR DESIGNER

    With over eight years of experience spanning custom interior design for homes, collaborative workspace design for commercial settings, hospitality interiors, and educational projects, Marianela approaches every assignment with a versatile and holistic mindset. She connects creative vision with functional planning to ensure every detail aligns throughout the design process.

    Known for her intuition and strong organizational skills, Marianela keeps projects cohesive and client-focused from concept to completion, making her a steady and trusted presence on our team.

    DESIGN MANAGER

    Gonzalo brings over eight years of experience as an architect and interior designer, leading multi-family, commercial, and hospitality interior design projects with thoughtful leadership and a client-focused approach. At Batten Court Design, he ensures that every interior design service balances creativity with real-world needs by making sure each concept is not only beautiful but also practical, cost-effective, and buildable.

    Known for translating complex ideas into clear, purposeful solutions, Gonzalo plays a key role in delivering both residential and commercial interior design projects that reflect our commitment to wellness-driven, intentional interiors.
