A residential interior design project
Laurelyn House
Tucked beneath the longleaf pines, Laurelyn House had all the charm of a historic home, but none of the flow. What began as a space full of potential quickly revealed itself as a puzzle of closed-off rooms, awkward transitions, and aging details. It needed more than just a facelift: it needed a new rhythm.
Our design approach began with a complete reimagining of the floor plan. Walls came down. Sightlines opened up. Each space was reshaped to breathe, to connect, and to invite natural light at every turn. New windows were introduced not just for efficiency, but to frame the landscape like art, bringing the beauty of the Village into every room.
The palette leans modern, but never cold. Clean lines and thoughtful materials pair with moments of softness: warm oak, textured plaster, and a whisper of brass. The result is a home that honors its roots while looking firmly toward the future.
Laurelyn House stands as a quiet reinvention. One that feels grounded, livable, and undeniably light-filled.
