Tasked with transforming a shell and core into a flagship luxury destination, I led the architectural and interior design direction for Gran Meliá Jeddah, aligning every detail with the refined elegance of the Gran Meliá brand. Our developed narrative—A Diamond on the Water—guided the design language, celebrating the hotel’s unique coastal location and the brand’s signature Spanish sophistication. Faceted forms, reflective surfaces, and crystalline geometry echoed the brilliance of a diamond, while light, texture, and materiality were carefully composed to shimmer and shift like water under sun and moon.
From grand arrival moments to private guest spaces, the project balances bold architectural expression with graceful interior gestures, offering guests an immersive experience that feels simultaneously contemporary and timeless.
